Applications are currently being accepted for the Program. Students selected for the in-person Program will represent minority, rural, economically-disadvantaged, and/or first-generation students of ANY racial background.
Age-appropriate activities will be done and students will participate in monthly in-person sessions on the campus of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center from January to May with a white coat and awards given in June to celebrate those who attend consistently. The tentative dates for the sessions are as follows:
TEENS (14 to 18-years-old): The sessions for the teens will begin at 9:00 AM and end at 11:30 AM. The doors for each session will NOT open before 8:45 AM CST. The dates for the teens are as follows: January 20, 2024, February 3, 2024, March 2, 2024, April 6, 2024, May 4, 2024, and June 15, 2024 (white coat ceremony).
TODDLERS (2 to 5-years-old): The sessions for the toddlers will begin at 12:00 noon and end at 1:00 PM. A parent or guardian must be present for toddlers to attend. The dates for the toddlers are as follows: January 20, 2024, February 3, 2024, March 2, 2024, April 6, 2024, May 4, 2024, and June 15, 2024 (white coat ceremony).
Attendance at every session is required and will be taken at each event. Not attending will lead to dismissal from the Program and disqualifies the participant from participation.
