About the Program

The six-month program’s objective is to stimulate and encourage minority and under-represented individuals’ interests in professional healthcare programs by exposing qualified participants to the different doctorate degrees available. (Students selected for the program will represent minority (non-Caucasian or female), rural, economically-disadvantaged, and/or first-generation students of ANY racial background.) Usually held from January to June, each monthly session is filled with fun activities, guest speakers, and a chance to win some cool prizes! In addition, community service projects and/or social events are held monthly.

How do I apply for the Program?
Participants who attended the 2017 Symposium will be eligible to participate in the 2018 Program without completing a new application. Only a permission form will need to be signed. The permission form for those who attended the Symposium can be found here: program registration for symposium participants.

If a student did not apply to/attend the 2017 Symposium, a complete application will be required and it can be found here: DDS Program Application.

The Program is limited to 45 students. Prospective applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible because slots fill quickly. The deadline for all forms is October 20, 2017.
